Le nez? Two reasons...

(Figure one - le nez)

Why is this blog called "le nez?" For two simple reasons. One, "le nez" rhymes with Janae. How cool is that? Two, because of the French translation. French translation: the nose.

*NOTE* Reason two comes with a story. Prepare yourself...

Once upon a time there was a maiden. She had a lovely nose, and when she was a tender twelve years of age, an odd stranger came up to this maiden. He looked at her nose, then looked at a picture of Grace Kelly that happened to be right next to her, then looked back to the maiden. "You have Grace Kelly's nose," he said. And with that, he walked away. The maiden was stunned, but stunned with pure elation! She found Grace Kelly to have the most lovely nose--a royal, film-captured nose--and the maiden was honored to carry even a mere emulation to the princess's nose. She'd never even broken that nose, despite her tomboy ways. However, this was not to be the only nosy discovery...
Suddenly, without any warning, the maiden grew up. She traveled great distances of terrifying terrain to arrive at her harbor of higher education. Finding herself in need of shelter, the maiden moved into the legendary apartment 87, and proceeded to find out that roommates are actually big sisters, best friends, moms, and insanity catalysts--all in one! One night, when the windows were icing over on the inside (old apartment, eh?) the maiden and her roommates were discussing the meaning of life. Their conversation went a little something like this...
"I wish there was more to life than boys..."
"I wish there was more to life than homework..."
"I wish there was more to life than men..."
"THERE IS MORE TO LIFE! My nose is squishy. Go ahead, try it!"
The maiden had always known that her nose could be squished and squashed, but she had always expected everyone else's to be the same. Not so. Most noses can't be squished or squashed. The next few hours, the roommates all took turns experiencing the maiden's squishy nose with their index fingers. Great joy was exclaimed in the forms of hollers, honks, snorts, and smiles; and suddenly, each girl had a comfort to turn to when the raging storms of college life were too much to bear. There were many nose-sessions after that fateful night. The maiden had found her calling in life--a nose that looks like Grace Kelly's, that when squished brings utter joy to the squisher, squishee, and every organic life form within a 5 meter circumference.

That is why this blog is called "le nez." Isn't it wonderful?
