DAY 1
June 8th
View of the coolest. back. seat-ers. ever.
We made sure to leave around Lil's nap time. See? There she is. Asleep. When she woke up we had stopped at a Subway for some sustenance, and she had peed through her diaper and all over her car seat.
Good times!
I have no idea which town the Subway was in, but our next stop after that was Mesquite.
Ruthie was happy to be out of the car seat. Grandma Jenni was happy to hold something cuter than a steering wheel.
Time to run around and get every possible wiggle out of your system, Janae!
Then, with relief and utter excitement, we finally made it to the lovely abode of our dearest Rose and Jordan!
We stayed up, ignoring our exhaustion, because how often do we get to hang out with these two? Not often enough. :)
Some of our time was spent talking, munching (on the best cookies ever, by the way), and looking at Rose's FANTASTIC jewelry.
And then we took some time breaking her jewelry.
"Geen Beedts!"
Sorry about that, Rose. It's a good thing you really like us. :)
DAY 2
Rose and Jordan made us an exquisite breakfast! Sarah had Nutella for the first time.
Whilst Mom took the car to have a once-over (it had been behaving strangely) Rose took the Lilster and I to purchase Lily-sized shoes. Despite my best efforts, Lily had managed to leave one sandal at home. Her backup pair required socks, which she had managed to leave behind as well.
Lily: 2
Mommy: 0
One new pair of sandals later, it was with heavy hearts that we said goodbye to our lovely cousins (and Lily said goodbye to her Green Beads).
New backseat beauty. Thanks for taking over, Sarah!
And this is proof that Grandpa P. knows how to cook. Tostadas? Heck, yes! And what would tostadas be without a hunk of meat larger than Ruth?!
:)
Stay tuned for days 3, 4, and 5! Coming Soon!
